Bamboo

Dry sherry and dry vermouth with bitters. A low-alcohol drink from the 1880s that sophisticated drinkers still ordered through the 1950s. Dry and complex.

Ingredients

  • ·1.5 oz dry sherry
  • ·1.5 oz dry vermouth
  • ·2 dashes orange bitters
  • ·1 dash Angostura bitters
  • ·Lemon twist to garnish

Method

Stir all ingredients with ice in a mixing glass until well chilled. Strain into a coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Pour slowly. Sip slower.
