Tequila and grapefruit soda with a salted rim and lime. More popular than the margarita in Mexico, and well known across the American Southwest by the 1960s.
Ingredients
- ·2 oz blanco tequila
- ·1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- ·4 oz grapefruit soda (Jarritos or Squirt)
- ·Salt for rim
- ·Lime wedge to garnish
Method
Salt the rim of a highball glass. Fill with ice. Add tequila and lime juice. Top with cold grapefruit soda. Stir briefly. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Pour slowly. Sip slower.
