Navy Grog

strong · served in a tiki or double rocks

Three rums, honey, grapefruit, and lime. A Trader Vic and Donn Beach specialty from the 1940s-50s tiki era. Deceptively potent.

Ingredients

·1 oz white rum
·1 oz dark Jamaican rum
·1 oz Demerara rum
·1/2 oz fresh lime juice
·1/2 oz fresh grapefruit juice
·1/2 oz honey syrup (1:1 honey and water)
·Mint sprig to garnish

Method

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice. Shake and pour unstrained into a tiki glass or double rocks glass. Top with more crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.

Pour slowly. Sip slower.
