The king of tiki. Light rum, dark rum float, lime, orgeat, and orange curacao. Trader Vic invented it in 1944 and the 1950s made it iconic.
Ingredients
- ·1 oz Jamaican rum
- ·1 oz aged rum
- ·3/4 oz fresh lime juice
- ·1/2 oz orange curacao
- ·1/4 oz orgeat syrup
- ·1/2 oz dark rum (float)
- ·Mint sprig and spent lime shell to garnish
Method
Shake all ingredients except dark rum with crushed ice. Pour unstrained into a double old fashioned glass. Float the dark rum on top. Garnish with mint and a spent lime shell.
Pour slowly. Sip slower.
