Mint Julep

The drink of the American South. Bourbon poured over fresh mint and crushed ice in a silver cup. Slow, cold, and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • ·2.5 oz bourbon
  • ·1/4 oz simple syrup
  • ·8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • ·Crushed ice
  • ·Fresh mint sprig to garnish

Method

Gently muddle mint leaves with simple syrup in the bottom of a julep cup. Fill the cup with crushed ice. Pour in the bourbon and stir until the outside of the cup frosts. Top with more crushed ice and garnish with a generous mint sprig.

Pour slowly. Sip slower.
