Gin with maraschino, lemon, and creme de violette. Pale purple and floral. A pre-Prohibition classic that flew high again in the 1950s.
Ingredients
- ·2 oz gin
- ·1/2 oz maraschino liqueur
- ·1/4 oz creme de violette
- ·3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- ·Maraschino cherry to garnish
Method
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a cherry.
Pour slowly. Sip slower.
