Gin with maraschino, lemon, and creme de violette. Pale purple and floral. A pre-Prohibition classic that flew high again in the 1950s.

Ingredients

  • ·2 oz gin
  • ·1/2 oz maraschino liqueur
  • ·1/4 oz creme de violette
  • ·3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • ·Maraschino cherry to garnish

Method

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a cherry.

Pour slowly. Sip slower.
