Gin and lime, sharp and clean. The classic version used Rose's lime cordial. A straightforward, no-frills drink from the golden age of gin.

Ingredients

·2 oz London dry gin
·3/4 oz fresh lime juice
·3/4 oz simple syrup
·Lime wheel to garnish

Method

Combine gin, lime juice, and syrup in a shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe or over ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Pour slowly. Sip slower.
